When and why did you first become interested in gymnastics? I was five-years-old and learned my first back handspring.

When did you decide you wanted to compete? And, when did you want to compete at a high level? What about competition appeals to you? I started competing when I was seven. I love to compete because it is so fun.

What is your training regimen? I train about 30-35 hours a week.

What is your favorite event? Uneven bars

What is your favorite skill? Triple fulls on floor/Jaegar on bars

Who is your favorite gymnast or who is your “idol”? Nastia Liukin and Laurie Hernandez

How have you grown as a gymnast during your career, both skill wise and mentally? I’ve learned more difficult skills and gained a stronger mindset to face challenges.

How has gymnastics helped you as a person? Gymnastics is great exercise and gives me something fun to do.

If you had to select one life-lesson that gymnastics has taught you, what would it be? Fight for what you want in life and follow your dreams.

What are your biggest accomplishments or best memories in your career? Qualifying for junior elite and the Nastia Cup. I will never forget competing in my first Classic competition.

What grade are you in school? I’m in sixth grade.

Do you want to compete in collegiate gymnastics? Yes

What are your favorite subjects, etc.? Science

If you plan to go to college, do you know what you want to study there? I’m not sure but I have a lot of time to think about it.

What are your goals for the future, both as an athlete and after you are finished competing? As an athlete, I want to make it to the 2024 Olympics.

What is your favorite food? Pasta

What is your favorite movie? Courage to Soar

What is your favorite music group? Rascal Flatts

Do you have any competition rituals? Lucky charms? I always bring my teddy bear.

What’s on your IPod right now? What type of music do enjoy listening to? I love listening to upbeat music.
